About us
Austin Community College's (ACC) Institutional Archives was established in 2023 as part of the Records and Information Management department, initiated and launched under the leadership of the Records and Information Management Officer. In an ongoing mission to maintain vital records for the institution, the Archives was created to ensure that the historical records were maintained as well as collecting current voices of students, faculty, staff, and the administration to preserve for future generations. The Archives preserve key records such as, but not limited to:
- Board of Trustees meeting minutes (calendar years 1973 to 1995)
- Course catalogs (1973-1974 to 2002-2003)
- Academic calendars (1973-1974 to 2005-2006)
The institutional archives also maintains:
- Photographs
- Newsletters and bulletins (student, faculty/staff, departmental)
- Audio-visual (VHS, cassette tape, MiniDV, digital media)
- Born-digital collections
In an effort to make these items available to the public, this site was created to house many of these collections that have been digitized.
